🤝Our Helping Hands after school club is up and running. The 3rd graders began their yearlong service project collecting & counting pop tabs for the Ronald❤️McDonald House in New Brunswick. The organization helps families of seriously ill and injured children receiving intensive medical treatment at nearby🏥hospitals by offering a temporary "home-away-from-home". The club will be also be involved with other various monthly service projects.😃 #SFCS

🤩It was a busy day on Friday at SFCS! Our students spent some time with their “buddies” and finished up with a dance🪩party in the CYO!🕺🏽💃🏻#SFCS
⛪️On Friday, our 8th graders led us at weekly Mass to celebrate the Feast of St Francis. Father Christy blessed St. Francis prayer cards that were distributed to all of our classes. It was a wonderful celebration of our patron saint.💫#SFCS

The Knights of Columbus Holy Innocents Assembly 1665 is collecting new or gently used pet toys and unopened containers of pet food to benefit the Edison Animal Shelter.

🌧️Our Third grade classes have been working hard on their investigation into what causes puddles in some areas, but not others continues. They explored areas outside to see how water interacts with natural materials. The students put drops of water on different objects to see if they were waterproof or absorbent. 📝Then, they used the data collected to answer the question “What is the effect of rain on natural materials?”Our young scientists have been hard at work this week!👩🏻🔬👨🏽🔬 #SFCS
✨This morning our 8th graders had a visit from Mount Saint Mary Academy (all girls) and St. Joseph High School (all boys). So many of our SFCS alumni returned to share their high school experiences with the students. It was great to see all of them! 🥰Both of their open houses will be held on Sunday, October 18th. Check out their websites for more information and good luck to our 8th graders as they plan the next steps in their educational journeys.📚#SFCS
🍎St. Thomas Aquinas High School came to SFCS this morning to visit with our 7th and 8th graders. They told our students all about the academics, athletics, arts and clubs their school has to offer. The high school students encouraged them to visit STA at their upcoming open house on Sunday, October 18th.😃 #SFCS

🚣🏻Students in Mrs. Roberts’ Physical Education class played “Shipwrecked “. The focus of the game is teamwork. First, students need to open up the red “island”before the game can begin. Students in grades K-4 may put their hands in the “ocean “, but grades 5-8 can’t put their hands or feet on the floor. 🤔The goal is to get across the ocean safely by collaborating and working together to come up solutions that work.💫#SFCS

Decorate your trunk, bring the family, and enjoy an evening of candy, friends, and Halloween fun! There will also be a prize for Best Trunk.
Trunk setup is from 4:45–5:30 PM. All trunks must be parked by 5:15 PM and remain parked until 6:45 PM.
Cost:
$10 per trunk, which includes 2 trunk-or-treaters
$5 for each additional trunk-or-treater
Not decorating a trunk? $5 per trunk-or-treater
Please remember:
• Pre-register and pre-pay by 10/23
• No witch costumes or décor
• Handouts must be nut-free and individually wrapped
• One parking spot per car; no power supplied
• No alcohol is permitted on school premises
• Parents must stay—no drop-offs
