How could I bear a crown of gold when the Lord bears a crown of thorns? And bears it for me! - St. Elizabeth of Hungary

❤️Yesterday for “World Kindness Day”, Mrs. Johnson’s Kindergarten class learned all about ways to be kind. They listened to the story, “A Wrinkled Heart” that highlights unkind words wrinkles people’s hearts. The students performed an experiment where they wrinkled a paper heart and then, tried to get it back to its original shape. They saw that they could never get their paper hearts back exactly the way they started. They truly grasped the importance of choosing their words to promote a culture of kindness.🥰 #SFCS

✨SFCS received a generous donation of $48,750 from the Msgr. Richard A. Behl Endowment Fund for technology and curriculum updates. Chairperson, Patricia Bixel presented the check in front of the school's donor wall to Principal Katheen Dalton, President Dr. Jay Locquiao and Very Reverend Fr. Timothy A. Christy, Rector of the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi. The Behl Fund is a permanent endowment established in 2008 to enhance the school's curriculum in the areas of religion, science, technology, mathematics, language and fine arts. Saint Francis Cathedral invites Catholic men to attend the “Renewal of Hope” Men’s conference on November 15 th to strengthen their life, family and community.
“There is an awful lot of insecurity and nervousness and second guessing among good parents. Whether you are a parent or a grandparent, I'm going to give you a sense of standing strong against the culture no longer on your side. As faith filled men, we’re going to have to go against the culture to raise the kind of kids or grandkids that we want to raise. To make my point I use comedy because good comedy will leave the
audience saying, oh, okay, I can relate to that. It may be an exaggeration of a reality, but there is a lot of truth in comedy. So, I will use it to relate, then follow it up with the points I am trying to make to the guys.”
