Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing make you afraid. All things are passing. God alone never changes. Patience gains all things. If you have God, you will want for nothing. God alone suffices- St. Teresa of Avila

I am a poor shepherd, I have only a wretched stable, a small manger, some wisps of straw. I offer all these to you, be pleased to come into my poor hovel. Make haste, O Jesus, I offer you my heart; my soul is poor and bare of virtues, the straws of so many imperfections will prick you and make you weep - but O my Lord what can you expect? this little is all I have. - St. John XXIII

✨Our 8th grade students were hard at work during Mrs. Roberts’ physical education class this week. The plank challenge was a relay race where students had to jump over their teammates in plank positions. The team that finished first was crowed the winner. They also participated in a push-up game where they had to high five each other as they came up from the push-up. The partners with the highest number of pushups won. It was a fiercely contested battle of 8th grade power!💪🏻 #SFCS

⛪️Today the 8th grade led our liturgical celebration for our patron, St. Francis of Assisi. Just as St. Francis shared his gifts, we are each called to share our gifts with one another. We are called to pursue the goal to be every day saints.✝️ #SFCS

🐶🐱Both Kindergarten classes celebrated the Feast of St. Francis with the blessing of the pets today. KA and KB brought in pictures of their pets and stuffed animals. Sister Jo said a prayer and blessed their “pets.” They loved learning all about the patron saint of our school today.😇 #SFCS

🔍Mrs. Masset’s 2nd grade class became geologists yesterday as they learned all about weathering. They were such curious learners using their magnifying glasses as they investigated their rocks🪨during science class. #SFCS
