🎃Both of Mrs. Weigele’s 4th grade science classes were hard at work this month on their STEM projects. The students were asked to make pumpkins from found materials. The children came up with some very innovative pumpkin creations. They did a wonderful job using a 🎤microphone to deliver their engaging presentations.👩🏼‍🏫👨🏽‍🏫 #SFCS

⛪️Today the Diocese of Metuchen hosted the Blue Mass at the Cathedral. Bishop Checchio presided over the Mass and our 8th graders were in attendance. After Church, all of our students were able to thank the officers for their service in person. We especially want to thank our SFCS parents who work in law enforcement.👮🏻‍♀️👮🏽‍♂️ #SFCS

“Hope is the Holy Spirit that’s poured out within us – that special grace that always keeps our eye on eternal life, even on the darkest days.

In my travels, I often see people who seem to be on the border line of losing hope. A child has lost the faith, maybe they’ve lost their job, maybe their spouse no longer looks them in the eye, or a spouse has left them, or maybe something else has gone wrong and they’re just moping around. It’s tough, it’s miserable.

I’m going to talk about how we can hold onto hope in a world that wants to suck it away from us. How men can not only maintain hope but also dig very deep within themselves when there is a collapse. How the saints, Christ and men through the ages retained hope knowing that even on the toughest and darkest nights, God is always by your side, especially when we are suffering the most.

Hope is the weapon that sustains us when we’re struggling. As Saint Paul said, hope is the sure and steadfast anchor of the soul that never disappoints.”

✨It’s been a busy month in our school library. Mrs. Kiliany had our 1st graders dive into the ocean 🌊 as they listened to “Jonah and the 🐳Whale”, while 2nd graders drove the “Magic School 🚌Bus” with Ms. Frizzle and designed their own dinosaurs🦕. Our 3rd grade classes recreated the covers of their favorite books📚. Our teachers foster a love of reading at SFCS! #SFCS
