🎓Congratulations to the SFCS Class of 2026 who graduated this evening in the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi. 👨🏽‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓Our 54 graduates earned $242,244 in annual scholarships to Catholic, Magnet and Vocational high schools! We wish them success in high school and beyond!🥰 #SFCS

🎓Our SFCS 8th graders had their Baccalaureate Mass this morning in the Cathedral. It was a beautiful and moving service. Fr. Christy told the Class of 2026 that they will always have a home at St. Francis. We are looking forward to graduation this evening!😃 #SFCS

✨Students in Mrs. Adinolfi’s 5th grade class presented their “Biography in a Bag” book📖projects. They read a, “Who Was”book and wrote a five paragraph essay. They selected 5 items or objects that represented their person’s life. Then, shared it with their classmates.😊 #SFCS

✨On Friday, our 8th graders had their retreat at Our Lady of Mount Virgin. They enjoyed team-building exercises and games that highlighted the importance of developing strong leadership skills like compassion, competency, and courage. To make their day even more meaningful, our superintendent, Mr. Joe Diskin along with special guest, Miss R., gave a presentation based off of Cleo Wade's book "What the Road Said." They ended their day with Mass. They had an amazing day!😃 #SFCS

✨Today our 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade classes had a virtual field trip visit from Jenkinson Aquarium. The presenters taught our students all about the different types of animal habitats. They brought some of the animals that live at the aquarium in Point Pleasant. The children loved meeting the snakes🐍 and turtles🐢! #SFCS

For the first time, the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi will host Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level I Formation!

CGS is a Montessori-based approach to faith formation that nurtures wonder, prayer, and a relationship with God in children ages 3–6. This 90+ hour foundational training is designed for adults seeking to accompany children in the life of faith through this beautiful and contemplative method of catechesis.
