Our 3rd and 4th graders did an excellent job yesterday honoring our veterans at their Patriotic Program. 💫Special thanks to our teachers: Ms. Pahira-Botts, Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Weigle, Mr. Huff and Tech Director, Mr. Emma who wrote, directed, and helped our students honor our country with their beautiful and moving performances. 🥰 #SFCS

👰🏻‍♀️Today the parish/school faculty and staff hosted a bridal shower for Middle School Religion teacher, Ms. Hollcraft. We all wish Sarah & Eric a lifetime of love and happiness!🥰 #SFCS

✨Mrs. Tellers PreK A class went on a nature walk today and collected various types of leaves.🍁🍃🍂They had fun racing 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️each other in the playground too! #SFCS

⛪️On Friday, our first grade classes led us at our weekly school wide ✝️ Mass. They did a wonderful 🌟 job reading, singing, and at the offertory. We were all happy to welcome St. Thomas the Apostle principal and former SFCS teacher, Miss Racavich to join us in Church that morning.😃 #SFCS

😊Mrs. Burke’s 3rd grade students visited the Kindergarten🐣chicks yesterday. They were SO “egg🥚cited” to get a chance to play with them before they return to Quiver Farms today. It was cute, fluffy fun for all!🐥#SFCS

✨Mrs. Teller’s PreK A class spent the rainy Earth🌎Day this week inside learning about how to save our planet. They took their broken🖍️crayons, smashed them up, and melted them into swirly🦋butterflies to show how beautiful recycling ♻️can be!😃 #SFCS

✨Mrs. Magee’s PreK-B class is working on their Monet 🖼️ project using a stencil and pastels. Around the classroom, the children are practicing practical life skills like hammering 🔨. In addition, many children are counting and ✏️writing. We had a special birthday celebration yesterday. In a Montessori classroom, the children celebrate the birthday person by acknowledging all the things they have learned since birth! The birthday person holds the globe and walks around the 🌞 sun during the “Birthday Walk.”😃 #SFCS

✨Our Early Childhood Education Building was filled with excitement this week when the 🐣chicks from Quiver Farms hatched! The presentation that Farmer👩🏻‍🌾Emma gave on April 13th was informative and educational. The children collectively named each🥚egg prior to the hatching process beginning. The students enjoyed the time they had with their new little🐥friends! The chicks head back to the farm tomorrow.😊 #SFCS

🌟Today is “Administrative Professionals Day” and we want to thank our office staff for all they do all year long for our faculty, staff and SFCS families! 💐 #SFCS

😊Today the safety ambassadors from St. Joseph High School came to meet with our 1st grade classes for the last time this school year. Today they focused on playground🛝and house🏡safety. We want to thank all of the St. Joe’s 🌟students, especially the ones that are SFCS🏫alumni, for taking time out of their school days to help keep our students safe with all of the wonderful presentations they provided during the 2025-2026 school year!🥰 #SFCS

😊Our 3 & 4 year old students have been engaged in Mrs. Fam’s PreK C class with their magnetic 🧲 and non-magnetic and hammering 🔨activities, constructing a maze with red rods and mastering their binomial cube work.🧊The children really tapped into their creative sides with their Frida Kahlo inspired 👩🏼‍🎨👨🏽‍🎨self portrait work. #SFCS

In Mrs. Magee’s PreK B class, the children were excited for the warm 🌞weather this week. They played outside and hunted for 🪱worms in the garden. In the classroom, the children continue to proudly complete their 🗺️maps. They enjoyed painting, cutting and pasting their version of European folk art. Many of our youngest students are phonetically spelling in PreSchool.💫 #SFCS

🖥️This week, in Mrs. Hopkins Computer class, our 4th graders have been engrossed in their “Introduction to 3D Project”. They are utilizing our MakerBot 3D printers to make 3D crosses.✝️ #SFCS

🌍Mrs. Tellers PreK A class has been exploring themes from Europe, including Folk Art and Claude Monet. The children have been hard at work on some great surprises for their 💐Mother’s Day celebration. Our students are loving the ☀️ and their time outdoors too!🛝 #SFCS

👨🏼‍🎨Congratulations to SFCS 5th grader, George G. who was a winner in the Diocese of Metuchen’s 2026 “Respect Life Poster Contest”. In Mrs. Ackersons Art🎨class, students were asked to draw a picture showing how they can love like Jesus and live as a gift to others. This was the prompt for this year’s contest theme, “Each of Us is a Gift from God: How Do We Live as a Gift to Others?” The winners’ artwork will appear in a yearly calendar celebrating life.✨#SFCS

✝️Our PreK students are being spiritually enriched by the “Catechesis of the Good Shepherd” (CGS) Program at SFCS. Mrs. Locquiao has been helping the children develop their relationships with God in the Atrium. The CGS formation is rooted in sacred scripture, liturgy, and respect for the child’s rich relationship with God.⛪️ #SFCS

✨Mrs. Fam’s PreK C students have been exploring so many concepts in their classroom. They have been working with 🛟buoyancy (sink or float) for shelf work, 🎨painting their Amazon Rainforests, 🫟mixing colors, identifying vertebrate and invertebrates on their 💡light table and investigating the 🐸 animals of the rainforest with nomenclature cards. The children are especially enjoying their time ☀️outdoors on the PreK playground🛝 #SFCS
