β¨Mrs. Mageeβs PreK-B class is working on their Monet πΌοΈ project using a stencil and pastels.Β Around the classroom, the children are practicing practical life skills like hammering π¨. In addition, many children are counting and βοΈwriting.Β We had a special birthday celebration yesterday.Β In a Montessori classroom, the children celebrate the birthday person by acknowledging all the things they have learned since birth!Β The birthday person holds the globe and walks around the π sun during the βBirthday Walk.βπ #SFCS










β¨Our Early Childhood Education Building was filled with excitement this week when the π£chicks from Quiver Farms hatched! The presentation that Farmerπ©π»βπΎEmma gave on April 13th was informative and educational. The children collectively named eachπ₯egg prior to the hatching process beginning. The students enjoyed the time they had with their new littleπ₯friends! The chicks head back to the farm tomorrow.π #SFCS

πToday the safety ambassadors from St. Joseph High School came to meet with our 1st grade classes for the last time this school year. Today they focused on playgroundπand houseπ‘safety. We want to thank all of the St. Joeβs πstudents, especially the ones that are SFCSπ«alumni, for taking time out of their school days to help keep our students safe with all of the wonderful presentations they provided during the 2025-2026 school year!π₯° #SFCS





πOur 3 & 4 year old students have been engaged in Mrs. Famβs PreK C class with their magnetic π§² and non-magnetic and hammering π¨activities, constructing a maze with red rods and mastering their binomial cube work.π§The children really tapped into their creative sides with their Frida Kahlo inspired π©πΌβπ¨π¨π½βπ¨self portrait work. #SFCS







In Mrs. Mageeβs PreK B class, the children were excited for the warm πweather this week. They played outside and hunted for πͺ±worms in the garden.Β In the classroom, the children continue to proudly complete their πΊοΈmaps. They enjoyed painting, cutting and pasting their version of European folk art. Many of our youngest students are phonetically spelling in PreSchool.π« #SFCS










π₯οΈThis week, in Mrs. Hopkins Computer class, our 4th graders have been engrossed in their βIntroduction to 3D Projectβ. They are utilizing our MakerBot 3D printers to make 3D crosses.βοΈ #SFCS









πMrs. Tellers PreK A class has been exploring themes from Europe, including Folk Art and Claude Monet. The children have been hard at work on some great surprises for their πMotherβs Day celebration. Our students are loving the βοΈ and their time outdoors too!π #SFCS










π¨πΌβπ¨Congratulations to SFCS 5th grader, George G. who was a winner in the Diocese of Metuchenβs 2026 βRespect Life Poster Contestβ. In Mrs. Ackersons Artπ¨class, students were asked to draw a picture showing how they can love like Jesus and live as a gift to others. This was the prompt for this yearβs contest theme, βEach of Us is a Gift from God: How Do We Live as a Gift to Others?β The winnersβ artwork will appear in a yearly calendar celebrating life.β¨#SFCS

βοΈOur PreK students are being spiritually enriched by the βCatechesis of the Good Shepherdβ (CGS) Program at SFCS. Mrs. Locquiao has been helping the children develop their relationships with God in the Atrium. They have been working with πbuoyancy (sink or float) for shelf work, π¨painting their Amazon Rainforests, π«mixing colors, identifying vertebrate and invertebrates on their π‘light table and investigating the πΈ animals of the rainforest with nomenclature cards.
